Starting Oct. 4, Nova Scotia will implement a “proof of vaccination policy” for COVID-19,
Premier Tim Houston and chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang announced on
Wednesday. While details surrounding this have not yet been solidified, Strang says Nova
Scotians could expect to see this for entry to bars, restaurants, gyms and entertainment
venues. Plus, Houston said the province’s vaccination rate is around 72 per cent for people
with both COVID-19 shots.

The province will continue to move forward with Phase 5 of its reopening plan, loosening
health restrictions.
