Greetings to you from Chicago and thanks for stopping by!
I had planned to create this site after one of my many visits to India in 2009 but it was put on the back burner. The thought never left me and I finally decided to do something about it, so here we are.
I grew up in Kolkata, (formerly known as Calcutta) India in the 50’s and 60’s, moved to the U.S. and landed in Chicago in 1973 when I was 19. Kolkata did a lot for me when I was growing up and I wanted to find a way to give something back.
The idea behind creating this site was to put Kolkata on the map and secondly, to inspire and connect with as many local individuals as possible with individuals who left Kolkata and moved elsewhere in this world like myself.
